How Do Capital
One Lounges Compare to Other Airport Lounges
Capital One Lounges are not the only airport
lounges that you can access with your credit card. There are other popular airport lounge
networks, such as Priority Pass, LoungeBuddy, and American Express Centurion Lounges. How do
Capital One Lounges compare to these other options?
Here are some of the main differences
and similarities between Capital One Lounges and other airport lounges:
- Location:
Capital One Lounges are currently limited to three airports in the U.S., with a fourth one
coming soon. Other airport lounge networks have a wider global presence, with hundreds or
thousands of lounges in different airports around the world. For example, Priority Pass has over
1,300 lounges in over 600 airports, LoungeBuddy has over 500 lounges in over 300 airports, and
American Express Centurion Lounges have 16 lounges in 11 countries.
- Access: Capital One
Lounges are accessible to anyone with a valid boarding pass and a valid ID, as long as they pay
the entry fee. Other airport lounge networks may have different access requirements, such as
membership, invitation, status, or specific credit cards. For example, Priority Pass requires a
membership or a credit card that offers complimentary access, LoungeBuddy requires a reservation
or a credit card that offers discounts, and American Express Centurion Lounges require an
American Express Platinum Card or an American Express Centurion Card.
- Price: Capital One
Lounges charge different entry fees depending on your Capital One credit card and your travel
companion(s). Other airport lounge networks may charge different prices depending on your
membership, reservation, or credit card. For example, Priority Pass charges $32 per person for
standard members, LoungeBuddy charges $25 to $50 per person for non-members, and American
Express Centurion Lounges charge $50 per person for eligible American Express cardholders.
